Dita Angeles

Curriculum vitae:

(b.1982, New Zealand) Dita Angeles comes from a strong background in portraiture which evolved over the years into an existential examination of social presentation. She specialises in conceptual photorealist oil paintings and especially likes to use themes centred around behaviour, ego, identity, and anonymity.

Angeles has been a professional artist since 2002. She has a BFA from Whitecliffe College 2004, and spent most of her career living in various places around Asia Pacific before returning to New Zealand in 2023.
